Privacy Policy

Effective 12 August 2026.

Short version

InsiderBid is a public website that republishes insider-trading filings made to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. You can read all of it without an account, without logging in, and without telling us anything about yourself.

The only personal information we ask for is an email address, and only if you choose to submit one to the newsletter form. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.

What we collect

If you sign up for the newsletter, we store:

  • the email address you enter;
  • which form on the site you submitted it from; and
  • the date and time you submitted it.

That is the entire record. We do not store your IP address alongside it. The signup endpoint applies a short-lived rate limit in memory to stop repeat submissions, and that data is discarded when the server instance recycles — it is never written to the database.

If you just read the site, we ask for nothing and store nothing about you in our database. Our hosting providers process standard server request data on our behalf, described under Who we share with.

We have no user accounts, so we hold no passwords. We take no payments, so we hold no card or bank details.

Data about company insiders

This site publishes the names, roles, employers and reported trading histories of company officers, directors and major shareholders. That information comes entirely from Form 3, 4 and 5 filings made to the SEC, which are mandatory public disclosures in the public domain. We add classification and analysis; we do not add facts.

Every transaction on this site links to the original filing on SEC.gov, so any figure can be checked at source.

If you are named on this site and want to raise something, see Corrections and removal — that section applies to you specifically, and we would rather hear from you than not.

Cookies and analytics

We currently set no cookies of our own. If you change the site between dark and light mode, that single preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites; it reports aggregate figures such as how many people viewed a page. We do not use Google Analytics.

Advertising

We do not currently serve advertising. We intend to, and this section describes what will apply when we do — it will be updated, with a new effective date, on or before the day the first advert appears.

When advertising is enabled, a third-party ad network will be able to set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to measure and select adverts. Where the law requires consent for that — including the EEA and the UK — adverts will not be served until you have been asked and have agreed, through a consent tool that also lets you change your mind later.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We use these processors to run the site:

  • Vercel — hosting and cookieless analytics. Server functions run in the United States (Washington, DC region).
  • Supabase — the database holding filing data and newsletter addresses, hosted in the United States.

Each acts on our instructions and may not use your data for its own purposes. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, note that your data is processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which the record is removed. Filing data is retained indefinitely: it is a permanent public record and the site’s purpose is to make its history searchable.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and under California’s CCPA/CPRA and comparable U.S. state laws — you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have information deleted;
  • object to or restrict how we use it; and
  • be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

To exercise any of these, email hello@insiderbid.com. We aim to reply within 30 days and will not charge you for a reasonable request.

Corrections and removal

If a page about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Email hello@insiderbid.com with a link to the page and what is incorrect. We will compare the page against the underlying SEC filing and correct anything that misrepresents it, normally within five working days.

One limit worth stating plainly: where our page accurately reflects what was filed, we cannot change the underlying record — that is a federal filing held by the SEC, and any correction has to be made there, by the filer, through an amended form. We will link to an amendment as soon as one is filed, and our data supersedes an original with its amendment automatically. If you believe the accurate republication of a filing about you should nonetheless be removed, write to us and explain why; we will consider it properly.
